Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Manager, FP&A to join our Engineering Finance - FP&A team. This role will support the CIO in delivering core financial planning and analysis activities, including forecasting, performance reporting, and strategic business support. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player with strong analytical skills and a passion for driving financial insights in a dynamic, technology-driven environment.
Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
- Manage the process that supports Forecasting, Annual Planning, Business Analysis and Performance Reporting, Strategic Business Planning processes
- Ownership of the financial team operating rhythm
- Responsible for financial analysis, modelling, validating, and tracking of business performance and outcomes of each, enabling robust month end review process
- Providing support to business partners and drive strong relationships across, Central Tech Finance, Controllers, and other Finance teams of respective CIO's
- Act as an integral part of the Finance team, promoting consistency and best practice across the team.
- Seek and implement transformation opportunities to improve forecasting processes, enhance insights, delivery and production efficiency across the team
- Support other ad-hoc analysis, as required
- Support any other finance projects
- Self-starter, experienced in working in a matrixed, global organisation
- Excellent communication and people skills, ability to openly and confidently converse with Finance and non-Finance senior leaders
- Strong understanding of data analysis, forecasting and risk management
- Good understanding of data analytical techniques to draw conclusions and optimise financial performance (high attention to detail and accuracy while maintaining a view of the big picture and key objectives)
- Ability to prepare and deliver financial and strategic presentations to senior management
- Extensive experience with financial and management reporting (experienced user of Microsoft Excel)
- Extremely organized with ability to multitask and prioritize efforts
- Proficiency in working effectively and delivering results in a fast-paced, complex, cross-functional, dynamic global business environment
- Recognised post graduate qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/MBA) with over 5 years post qualified experience, which includes accounting and business partnering activities (budgeting, forecasting, performance reporting, strategy evaluation, analysis and insight)
- Strong understanding of external markets and experience working in a technology driven product environment with an understanding of product lifecycle management preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of ERPs and other financial systems
- Time-zone overlap with global stakeholders and counterparts, as warranted
