WEBB Integration is one arm of Webb Production, which is a large-scale event production agency delivering virtual, live, and hybrid events throughout the United States and occasionally internationally.
What You’ll Do:
The Lead AV Installation Technician is responsible for leading the on-site installation of commercial audiovisual systems. This role serves as the primary technical lead on job sites, ensuring that installations are completed correctly, efficiently, and in accordance with project documentation.
While Project Managers oversee project scope, schedule, and client coordination, the Lead Technician is responsible for executing the installation in the field and directing the day-to-day work of technicians on site.
This position requires strong AV integration experience, the ability to interpret system drawings, and the confidence to solve installation challenges in the field.
Requirements
Your Background & Experience:
Required Experience
5+ years of experience installing commercial AV systems or low-voltage technology systems
Demonstrated experience leading installation crews or coordinating job site work
Strong understanding of AV signal flow, equipment installation, and system integration
Technical Experience
Installation of displays, projection systems, and AV hardware
Equipment rack construction and cable management
Low-voltage cable installation, termination, and testing
Video conferencing system installation
Experience with the following platforms is beneficial:
Crestron
Extron
Biamp
AMX
Additional Qualifications
Ability to read and interpret AV system drawings and installation documentation
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Professional communication and client interaction skills
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders or lifts when necessary
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Authorization to work in the United States
Key Responsibilite:
Lead Installation Execution
Lead the installation of commercial AV systems including displays, projectors, audio systems, control systems, and conferencing technologies
Interpret AV system drawings, signal flow diagrams, and installation documentation
Oversee equipment rack assembly, device mounting, and system wiring
Perform and supervise cable pulling, termination, labeling, and testing
Coordinate On-Site Work
Direct daily installation activities of technicians on site
Ensure work is completed according to project standards, schedules, and safety requirements
Coordinate installation sequencing with the Project Manager and other trades when necessary
Communication & Reporting
Serve as the primary on-site technical contact between installation crews and the Project Manager
Provide status updates and report installation issues or design conflicts
Maintain clear communication with clients and site contacts during installations
System Verification & Troubleshooting
Test and troubleshoot installed systems to verify functionality
Assist with system commissioning and performance verification
Ensure installations meet WEBB quality standards and project specifications
Schedule
This is a full-time position.
Typical schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, with occasional overtime, evening work, and overnight travel depending on project requirements.
