Job Description:
The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) plays a critical leadership role at Sun Life Asset Management (HK) Limited (SLAMHK). Reporting to the CEO of SLAMHK, the CIO will be responsible for shaping and driving the investment strategy to enhance fund performance and support the continued growth of our MPF and broader asset management business.

This role will lead and develop a future-proof Investment Management Team by ensuring a healthy talent pipeline, robust investment processes, and diverse investment expertise; strengthen SLAMHK's investment process and drive it; build a team structure and work structure that is sustainable and effective in translating investment ideas and market views into fund performance.
1) Lead and oversee the Investment Management Team, covering the full investment lifecycle including:

• Fund and manager screening
• Due diligence and selection
• Ongoing monitoring and performance evaluation

2) Define and implement strategic and tactical asset allocation to deliver strong, consistent fund performance

3) Strengthen the competitiveness of our MPF offerings and support new business opportunities as the platform evolves

4) Act as a Responsible Officer for Type 4 (Advising on Securities) and Type 9 (Asset Management) regulated activities, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.

5) Serve as an SFC-designated Key Person for Type 9 regulated activities

6) Lead and manage the Investment Management Team to:

• perform all aspects of fund/manager selection, due diligence, monitoring, evaluation
• formulate strategic and tactical asset allocation for all of our managed portfolios
• take ownership of performance: be accountable, as a team, for delivering performance results
• provide investment-related support to internal and external parties as appropriate

Job Requirements:

• Solid professional and technical competency in the field of investment fund and manager analytics which include, but not limiting to, portfolio management, fund analysis, performance analysis and investment risk management
• Sound professional ability to build a robust and sophisticated investment process and risk control process Leadership ability to lead a team of investment professionals
• Knowledge of MPF market and products, competition and the relevant regulatory framework Good understanding of fund distribution landscape in HK as well as in the region
• University graduate in Investment, Finance, Economics or similar discipline
• 15+ years of working experience in fund investment or related fields
• CFA charter holder and/or other relevant professional qualifications a plus
• Able to serve as Responsible Officer, Key Person and Manager-in-Charge of the asset management company (SFC Type 9)
