Leads end-to-end compensation and benefits programs to ensure market competitiveness, compliance, improved employee experience and efficient delivery. Manages benefits budget and vendor relationships and implements process improvements. Develops KPIs and provides strategic guidance to the team.
Key Responsibilities include:
Benefits
- Oversee benefits strategy, including health and welfare, retirement, and wellness programs, ensuring competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
- Handle relationships with brokers, consultants, and third-party administrators to optimize benefits offerings.
- Oversee communication materials, booklets, employee meetings, and other media for communicating new plans and changes to employees.
- Conduct market analysis and RFP processes to drive cost optimization and improve employee experience.
Compensation
- Lead the development and oversee the execution of all compensation programs, including base pay structures, incentive plans, job architecture, and market benchmarking.
- Oversee the annual salary planning process, including merit increases, promotions, and market adjustments.
- Evaluate and enhance executive and broad-based compensation programs and oversee the administration of all equity-related programs
- Lead compensation analytics, using data insights to inform pay decisions and ensure market competitiveness.
General
- Develop and manage the budget to ensure effective and efficient program delivery; updates forecast and ensures accurate accruals of compensation and benefit spend.
- Drive communication and change management efforts to enhance employee understanding of compensation and benefits programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including ERISA, ACA, SEC, FLSA, pay transparency, and other statutory requirements.
- Lead compensation and benefits due diligence and integrations for future acquisitions or M&A activity.
- Act as a strategic advisor to HR and business leaders on compensation and benefits standard processes and innovations.
Requirements
Minimum Education And Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Preferred certifications: Certified Compensation Professional; Certified Benefits Professional
Minimum Experience
- 7+ relevant experience in compensation and benefits, including managerial experience of at least 3 years.
- Experience in the energy and utilities sectors preferred.
Knowledge
- Solid knowledge ERISA, and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of equity administration
- MicrosoftOffice Suite, including advanced Excel.
- Oracle Cloud preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing total rewards strategies.
- Experience in brokerage management, RFP processes.
Leadership Experience
- Recruit, retain, and develop a high-performing team to effectively implement compensation and benefits initiatives.
- Partner closely with key stakeholders, including Finance, HR, and Legal teams to align total rewards with business strategy.
