TerraPower's Molten Chloride Fast Reactor (MCFR) program is commercializing the technology to operate a fast spectrum, chloride salt cooled molten salt reactor. The Molten Chloride Reactor Experiment (MCRE) is slated to be the first liquid-fueled, fast spectrum reactor built and operated, and it will be constructed at Idaho National Laboratory.
Systems Engineering Configuration Manager
TerraPower is seeking a Configuration Manager to support the Molten Chloride Fast Reactor (MCFR) program and the Molten Chloride Reactor Experiment (MCRE). This position reports to the MCFR Systems Engineering Manager. The role centers on Configuration Management, beginning with detailed design phase and evolving toward experiment completion. You'll collaborate with project personnel and external project partners in a high-performing, multi-disciplinary environment to deliver and control high-quality, procedurally compliant deliverables. This role is hybrid with a requirement of being on-site at the Bellevue, WA headquarters at least two days per week. Help be part of a first-of-a-kind reactor toward commercial deployment.
Responsibilities:
• Lead design document management and configuration change control for the project
• Mentor and train the MCRE team on configuration management best practices, procedures, and work instructions
• Lead Change Control Board Meetings and manage change execution
• Configure, update, and manage project Atlassian Confluence pages and Jira database
• Review documents for compliance with configuration management processes
• Coordinate document transmission among different project partners
• Be responsible for project-specific content in the MCFR Configuration Management Plan
• Review configuration management issues, drives resolution, and implement any required changes to the process
• Coordinate and lead design reviews
• Assist with forms from partner companies to control network access for new team members.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum six (6) years of customer-facing work experience in configuration management, training, or performance improvement.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong proficiency in Atlassian Confluence and Jira.
• Knowledge and experience in electronic document and metadata management, preferably in a regulated or technical environment.
• Experience in product data management software suites.
• Exceptional attention in detail.
• Team-oriented mindset with experience in training others.
• Strong oral and written English communication skills, with the confidence to reject documentation if issues warrant it, along with the soft skills to provide guidance on issue resolution.
• Knowledge and experience in ASME NQA-1 is a plus.
• The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.

TerraPower's technology is controlled for export by various agencies of the U.S. Government. Job details:
Salary Range Level 10: $117,922 - $176,833
*Typically, our employee salaries are within .90 1.0 of the mid-point of the posted salary bands. Any salary offered within the posted salary band is based on market data and commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications and experience. This range is specific to Washington State.
