Our team designs and administers the construction of facilities for clients in the Corporate, Aviation, Healthcare, Science and Technology industries. Qualifications
RS&H is currently seeking an experienced construction administrator to join our Buildings Practice in Miami, FL. This position can work a hybrid approach. As part of the Buildings Group, you'll serve an integral role in the firm by reviewing construction contract documents and specifications and assisting with administration for shop drawing/submittal, RFI and change order reviews and approvals, and documentation of design and/or construction decisions that impact project scope, schedule, and/or budgets; performing code and permit research and evaluating plans and specifications for completeness; assisting design and project manager documenting construction progress, field notes, and punch-list distribution and follow-up; and conducting and participating in facility design and in-process construction reviews or task meetings. To be successful in this role, you must:
- Possess professional level experience in construction management as evidenced by experience in roles such as construction project manager, construction engineer, construction superintendent or construction field manager. Degree is not required as long as equivilent experience is demonstrated.
- Possess basic knowledge of office administration software (MS Word and Excel).
- Possess solid oral and written communications skills and have the ability to effectively interact with and build relationships with others.
- Have a bachelor's degree in construction management or related field and three years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with cost estimating references and techniques is preferred.
- Working knowledge of CADD/Revit and Newforma to perform coordination of construction documents is preferred, as is working knowledge of scheduling software.
