- Director of Instruction
Description
The Director of Instruction is responsible for and will oversee all golf programs including instruction of all ages/ skill levels, weekly training classes for Junior and Adults, specialty clinics, and play groups
Provide exceptional instruction to players of all levels, drawing on your expertise and communication skills, while also overseeing and developing our golf league programs, creating a competitive yet enjoyable environment for players of all skill levels.
Golf Instruction and Player Development
Provide individual and group lessons using advanced techniques to assess and improve swing mechanics and overall game performance.
Develop personalized lesson plans and long-term development strategies, focusing on fundamental skills and tracking player progress.
League Program Management
Create and manage league programs for various formats and skill levels, handling registration, scoring, and communication.
Promote leagues through marketing and community outreach, manage vendor and sponsor relationships, and track performance metrics.
Assistant Facility Manager, Customer Service and Member Engagement
Work directly with the GM to help manage the business on a day-to-day basis.
Act as the main contact for lesson participants and league members, offering excellent service and addressing inquiries.
Foster strong relationships, create a welcoming atmosphere, and organize events to enhance engagement and community.
Simulator Maintenance
Inspect and maintain all simulator components, including hardware, software, sensors, and projection systems.
Create and follow a maintenance schedule for routine upkeep, such as cleaning, software updates, and hardware checks.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly, and coordinate with technical support for complex problems.
Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and accessories for maintenance and repairs.
- Total compensation made up of a Base Salary, Lesson, and League sales commissions.
- Expect to make between $50-$70k or more based on customer engagement skills, lessons, and experience.
- Vacation: 10 days of yearly PTO beginning to accrue 90 days after the hire date.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a golf instructor and in golf operations, event management, or league administration.
- Strong knowledge of golf fundamentals, swing mechanics, teaching methods, rules, and handicapping systems.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
- Passion for golf and a desire to help others improve.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods and create a supportive learning environment.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- PGA certification credentials
- Proven experience as a golf instructor and in golf operations, event management, or league administration.
- Strong knowledge of golf fundamentals, swing mechanics, teaching methods, rules, and handicapping systems.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
- Passion for golf and a desire to help others improve.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods and create a supportive learning environment.
