Position Overview
Cravens & Company Advisors is seeking a Director of Investments to help lead a growing, planning-centric RIA through its next phase of expansion. The Director of Investments will serve as a senior investment leader responsible for investment oversight, portfolio strategy, and investment communication. This position emphasizes leadership, governance, and client engagement rather than primary research production or day-to-day trading execution.
The Director of Investments will work within the firm’s established investment philosophy, co-lead the Investment Committee, and collaborate closely with advisory and planning teams to ensure consistent, high-quality investment outcomes as the firm continues to grow. This role offers a clear pathway to Chief Investment Officer as the firm scales and milestones are achieved.
Responsibilities
- Provide oversight of portfolio construction, asset allocation, and investment implementation.
- Co-lead the Investment Committee and support disciplined investment decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to the firm’s investment philosophy and risk framework.
- Support client meetings through clear communication of investment strategy and market context.
- Mentor team members and contribute to investment process consistency.
- Partner with firm leadership on long-term investment strategy and growth initiatives.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $165,000–$185,000, commensurate with experience
- Annual Bonus: Target 15–25% based on performance

Requirements
- 8–12+ years of investment management or wealth management experience
- Experience in an RIA, family office, or private advisory environment
- CFA designation strongly preferred (or active pursuit)
- Strong communication skills and experience presenting to clients
- Leadership experience within an investment or advisory team
- Willingness to relocate to Cookeville, Tennessee, or within commuting distance
