Description
*Remote- DFW preferred* *JOB SUMMARY* This job is a senior role that is capable of studying, developing and implementing complex user identity (EMP record), user role (template) and other types of security change within the organization, Epic, and its related systems. They know about the complexity of the entire Epic Security Model well beyond just the Epic Security Certification and perform risk based testing of identity access and security system requests and can fulfill, develop new functionality or escalate them accordingly. They fulfill and help user access requests as it relates to the Epic System in the form of ad-hoc, bulk and project requests for additional users, user access and major changes to the Epic System. Lastly, they monitor for issues, respond to help needs and participate in Epic, Information Services, and Information Security processes and represent accordingly. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE* • Is the functional and technical Subject Matter Expert on the Epic Security application and workflows • Review user access needs, develop access roles, and add/change/delete user access. • Provides quality knowledge of the technology (application) and enterprise processes (integrated workflows) and unite closely with all Epic application teams to drive holistic Epic Security management. • Security template/ sub-template creation and modification. • Create regular, audit related, reconciliation and ad-hoc reports on system usage and user activity, user changes and security related events. • Conduct regular reviews of the Epic system to identify real and/or potential security access weaknesses. • Work with business partners and technical team to define, document, and review security requirements to help new projects. • Approve, prepare, manage and migrate security changes. • Participate in the planning, development, and deployment of Epic access control standards and process into production. Develop helping documentation and procedures for these processes. • Act as a resource for Client departments and business units on technical Epic security measures. • Create and manage workflow processes for granting/removing Epic access. • Manage Service Now queue; oversees the Incident Management process as queue owner. • Participate in change control processes including approving change control requests. • Establish policies, standards and procedures as it relates to Epic access and security functions and partners with others on such when required. • Solves problems by studying business issues /requirements, studying both data and workflows and synthesizing key messages. • Perform other duties as assigned in a competent, professional and courteous manner. *KEY SUCCESS FACTORS* • Functional and technical Subject Matter Expert for security model (e.g. EMP record and templates), access and authorization functions within Epic. • Deep Epic access and security knowledge to build, test, help and train. • Ability to work well in team environments. • Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (data testing, data import/export, functions, etc.). • Proficient with word processing and email software applications. • Demonstrates customer-oriented service excellence principals. • Self-motivated person who can identify and resolve issues and advance personal knowledge. • Ability to execute complex tasks through organization and details motivated approach. • Excellent reciprocal communication skills, among facility customers and team members. • Exceptional written skills including email correspondence. • A quick learner of software and information technology, and motivated to learn new applications. • Experience in Hospital Business or Clinic environment preferred.
