NOTE: This is a Sub-contract(業務委託) position. The candidates have to currently based in Japan to apply for this role.

Your new role

Project Duration:2years
We are looking for experienced Javaconsultants to:

• Build new application components, REST/SOAP APIs and integration flows.
• Design and develop ETL pipelines (e.g., using Apache Camel, Kafka, Spark, or commercial ETL tools).
• Integrate the new components and functions with the existing platform
• Provide back-fill support for BAU team members who transition to the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality, production-ready Java code (Java8+) for new interfaces and micro-services.
• Design, implement and document REST/SOAP APIs, following API-First principles and security best-practices.
• Create and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Apache Camel, Kafka Streams, Spark, or commercial ETL suites.
• Integrate new applications with existing legacy systems and databases while ensuring no impact on existing flows
• Continuously improve development processes (CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, static analysis).

What you'll need to succeed
Required Qualifications:

• Native in Japanese and business level in English
• Compliance and Risk mindset
• At ease with numbers
• Time management and Prioritization skills
• Comfortable with OA skills (MS Excel, etc)
• Financial Industry experience for 1 year
  
  Preferred Qualifications:
• Financial Industry experience for 1 year or more
• Operational process experience in a bank or securities company
• Settlement process experience
• IT Project related experience
• English speaking
