We have successfully worked on many projects where there were multiple stakeholders and understand how to orchestrate a project through a complex design, construction and approval process.
Junior Designer Responsibilities:
We currently have an opening for a Junior Designer position. While working under the general supervision of a Project Architect or Project Manager, the junior designer position is responsible for supporting design development and construction documents as well as the other phases of a project. Works on design sketches and layouts initially developed by others. Able to set up drawing set with guidance according to CAS standards. Works under the direction of a Job Captain, Project Manager or Project Architect.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Assists project teams and other staff members as required
- Reinforce the project schedule + budget parameters led by the Project Manager
- Participate in site/building surveys and prepare accessibility deficiencies reports
- Undertakes a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard architectural techniques for small projects or selected segments of a larger project
- Performs design layouts and features, which require researching, compiling, and recording information for assigned project work
- Reviews drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards, and implements any changes as directed
- Participate in Architectural Design and Documentation, under supervision, through all phases of a project
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Degree from an accredited architectural or related design program (licensure not required)
- 0-3 years of related, professional experience
- Proficient in Revit and familiarity with AutoCad
- Proficient in Sketch-up, In Design, MS Office, ENscape.
- Self-motivated
- Strong verbal and graphic communication, organizational and collaborative skills
- Proactive, team player mindset with willingness to take on various responsibilities
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing demands, while maintaining a high standard of excellence, integrity, and attention to detail
- Excellent problem solver and independent thinker with good listening skills and strong follow-through
- Commitment to their own professional growth
Benefits:
- This is a full-time position with a complete benefits package. We offer Health/Dental/Vision coverage for employees and dependents. We also offer a generous 401k plan with matching after 6 months. Compensation is based on skills and experience.
- Our work schedule is currently comprised of 4 days in the office with remote work on Fridays.
- Mondays through Thursdays are comprised of in-office core hours (8:30-5:30) with some flexibility in the morning / end of day to accommodate individual needs.
