Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and collaborative Lead Project Manager for our Own Brands Food (OBF) team. In this role, you will lead strategic, cross-functional projects across commercial, product, and customer domains to drive growth and operational excellence for our private label portfolio.
You will connect teams, ideas, and data to deliver measurable business impact. Supported by dedicated Project Managers, you will own and steer full project lifecycles, from strategy development to execution and optimization, while fostering continuous improvement in growth initiatives at zooplus.
Strategic & Commercial Growth
- Lead the project management, coordination, and prioritization of cross-functional commercial initiatives that drive OBF growth
- Translate business opportunities into actionable projects with commercial feasibility and measurable results
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders (Brand, Country, Marketing, CRM, Pricing, BI) to ensure all teams contribute effectively to OBF business goals
Customer Experience & Product Innovation
- Define and manage product- and tech-related initiatives for best-in-class customer experiences and discovery journeys for Own Brand Food
- Lead the collection and interpretation of customer insights, surveys, and ratings to identify improvement opportunities and feed into product innovation roadmaps
- Steer customer-centric improvements across channels
Project Excellence & Leadership
- Shape, structure, and monitor projects with clear milestones, KPIs, and dependencies in alignment with leadership priorities
- Ensure collaboration and ownership across teams-supporting functions in delivering outcomes on time and within scope
- Lead and mentor dedicated Project Managers, providing direction, feedback, and fostering a culture of proactive ownership and continuous improvement
- Contribute to the setup and management of ad-hoc, high-impact initiatives prioritized by OBF leadership
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum 5-7 years in e-commerce, retail, or FMCG, ideally cross-functional (pet industry experience a plus)
- Proven leadership in growth/transformation projects with multiple stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to critically evaluate data and drive action
- Excellent project management skills, planning, prioritization, and delivery across workstreams
- Outstanding communication, facilitation, and leadership capabilities, including direct/indirect people management
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage performance transparently
- Solid understanding of financial/commercial KPIs; confident in business case analysis/modelling
- Fluent in English (written & verbal); German language skills are a plus
- Comfortable in international, hybrid/remote setups
