Job Description
Purpose
Describe the primary goals, objectives or functions or outputs of this position.
Responsible for leading the Campus Compute Facility (CCF)and End User Computing (EUC)teams at the Manufacturing sites. Acts as the expert technical resource for new projects or tasks required by the Business Manufacturing & Commercial Operations staff for site and the region. Provides guidance on technology matters when required, providing input into business strategy, in areas where technology plays a significant role. Understands the external technical environment, and become an expert in understanding how this affects AbbVie at an site level.
Responsibilities

- Understands organization's vision, goals and strategies. Takes a leadership position on Infrastructure operations systems and technology (servers, storage, end-user computing)related initiatives at the site level.
- Aligns teams priorities appropriately and determines teams critical success factors. Responsible for actions taken by itself and subordinates.
- Establish and maintain high quality relationship with all levels within the organization. Understands clients business needs and requirements.
- Works with Global and Business IT teams to recommend and implement technologies and strategies within the local sites. Interacts with Managed service partners and Global peers to assure that changes, requests and incidents to the infrastructure operations at the site level are achieved following BTS Infrastructure services policies and standards.
- May negotiate, secures, oversee & ensure that resources are available to meet the daily operational demands of the area.
- Responsible for all aspects of people leadership; setting expectations, training, coaching and counseling
- Ensures IT compliance and adherence of applicable internal and external regulations and guidelines for the Infrastructure Operations area (CCF, servers, storage, end-user computing (EUC)).
- Manages appropriately audits preparation and representation/participation as well as audit responses to GXP areas under the BTS Infrastructure operations (CCF, servers, storage, and EUC) areas.
- Responsible for managing local infrastructure operations and EUC projects, maintenance contracts and expenses within budget. Inventory management and accuracy of local infrastructure operations (CCF,servers, storage and EUC) assets as per Finance and BTS standards and policies.
- Responsible for assuring that issues and requests assigned to the infrastructure operations and EUC team are resolved and completed in an appropriate and timely manner as established in the BTS Infrastructure Services organization metrics
Qualifications
Qualifications
List required and preferred qualifications (up to 10). Include education, skills and experience.
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Administration of Servers and storage environments - 7 yeas
- Knowledge of systems development life cycle (SDLC)- 7 years
- Knowledge on qualification of computerized systems (servers, PC's, printers, etc)
- Project Management skills
- Supervisory skills (1 - 3 years)
- Hardware & OS equipment skills (PC's, MS Office applications, Windows, VMWare)
- Minimum total combined years of experience 8 years.
