Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Red Hat Linux System Administrator to support and sustain critical IT infrastructure within a classified environment. This role focuses on maintaining, securing, and enhancing enterprise Linux systems to ensure compliance with information assurance requirements and continuous operations. The position requires strong troubleshooting skills, adaptability, and a commitment to operational excellence, with occasional support outside normal business hours.

Job Responsibilities
Install, configure, maintain, and administer Linux servers and networked systems
Provide backup, recovery, file system, and disk space management services
Perform performance tuning and network optimization
Test and validate enterprise system software updates to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact
Develop, maintain, and document technical processes, procedures, and system documentation
Ensure compliance with security and information assurance requirements
Develop and promote best practices for system administration, documentation, and templates
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications
Active Top Secret clearance with immediate SCI eligibility
Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 7/8 in a classified environment
Knowledge of IntelliEarth Integrator software
Experience with PostgreSQL database installation, configuration, and backups
Knowledge of security operations, safeguards administration, and information assurance practices
Network security certification (Security+ minimum or higher)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or 10+ years of relevant experience without a degree
Desired Qualifications
Experience with other Linux distributions such as CentOS or Rocky Linux
Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Apache, Tomcat, and other web servers using PKI infrastructure
Experience with scripting and automation tools
