POSITION SUMMARY
Lowtemp Industries continues to grow, and we have an immediate opening for a Machine Assembly Technician. This position is critical to the success of Lowtemp and will manage all aspects of our LCD (Lowtemp Concentrate Dispenser) and LCC (Lowtemp Concentrate Centrifuge) production with regards to assembly, troubleshooting, and technical support for customers. The right candidate will ensure products are built in a timely manner and ready to fulfill all customer orders within quoted lead times.
SUMMARY:
The ideal candidate will perform all mechanical and electrical assembly steps of both the LCD and LCC, test completed machines and ensure readiness for customer use. They will have knowledge of machine controls as well as basic knowledge of troubleshooting complex machine issues. Additionally, as this role will become our in-house technical expert, you will be expected to support customer-facing activities such as Sales, Customer Service, and Technical Support as it relates to proper operation of these machines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete mechanical and electrical assembly of both LCC and LCD product lines
- Maintain good housekeeping in work area
- Validate component quality prior to building each machine
- Work with Supply Chain team to ensure all necessary components are in stock so orders can be fulfilled in a timely manner including completing cycle counts as required
- Maintain accurate records of scrap components
- Prepare finished units for shipment
- Support customer needs regarding technical operation and troubleshooting of LCC and LCD
- Engage with Engineering and Sales regarding product improvements, new product development, and cost reduction opportunities
- Additional job responsibilities can be added at the discretion of the supervisor

The individual will spend most of their time in a Factory/Warehouse environment with some Office work required (for meetings, etc). Office and Factory/Warehouse are well lit, clean with normal/low noise levels (less than 85dbc)

Pay Range Disclosure (CO): The base pay range for this position is $30-36 per hour, depending on experience and expertise. This position is eligible for overtime pay. Actual pay will be based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, and internal pay alignment. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, paid holidays, and other voluntary benefits.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Read a Bill of Material (BOM) and Drawings
- 10 years of experience in a technical role building, designing, or repairing complex electro-mechanical devices/machines
- Technical degree or certification is preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels and functions are essential
- Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to understand technical issues that arise through assembly and testing processes
- Customer Focus: Responds appropriately to customers’ needs
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and possess a willingness to make autonomous decisions
Confident Mechanical Skills:
- Assembly/Disassembly of mechanical components
- Use of tools- drill, rachet, wrench, screwdrivers wire cutters, ferrule guns, and hammer
Confident Electrical Skills:
- Control Wiring
- Automation component understanding
- Motor Wiring
- Read electrical schematics independently
