Description
Position: HOURLY PROFESSIONAL -ONLINE EDUCATION & ACADEMIC TECHNOLOGY20 HOURS A WEEK
Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as the primary contact for faculty and students with questions or issues regarding the college's official LMS & academic technology for online, hybrid, in-person, and remote courses. Position acts as a liaison, coordinating activities among students, faculty, and other administrative departments to ensure prompt communication and the implementation of required tasks. Will assist the Instructional Designer in training faculty to use the LMS in designing and teaching online courses.
- Provides technical and personalized in-person, telephone,email, help-desk ticketing and academic tech support and assist students, faculty and other administrative to ensure success in online teaching and learning.
- Update and maintain the official RCC Online Degrees Website, MyRCC Portal, SUNY Online Course Listing, and Front desk and Helpdesk ticketing site.
- Act as a liaison to students, faculty and administrative staff with prompt communication and problem resolution to provide students with the correct information and direction to continue with their courses.
- Maintain all online education department documentation (i.e., Online Course Development Request Forms), Master List, etc.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree in computers studies or related areas.
At least two years of experience in the use of Learning Management System preferably Brightspace D2L
Hourly Rate: $20.00 an hour
