Biological Sciences - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (25006728)

The Kaplan lab seeks a postdoctoral fellow with experience in yeast initiation mechanisms and analysis of genomic data (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, DNA sequencing). Must have a Ph.D in Genetics, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry. The projects anticipated will be computational in nature and involve the development, standardization, and implementation of informatics pipelines for the analysis of RNA-seq, MNase-seq, NET-seq, TSS-seq, and other genomic data related to experiments addressing yeast transcription mechanisms. These projects seek to understand the relationships between initiation by promoter scanning and chromatin structure, and the relationship between RNA polymerase II catalytic activity and gene expression.
