Description:
Advanced Systems Design is seeking a Presentationsand Public Address (P/PA) Specialistfor our client located in Colorado Springs, CO.
This position is onsite in Colorado Springs, CO, and requires in-person availability starting day 1.
JOB SUMMARY:
- Reports to the Electronic Services Lead.
- Provides presentations/public address (P/PA) setup, operations, and tear-down support to the client.
- Provides Presentation Support to the Office of the Superintendent.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Fulfills P/PA support requests as required.
- Works independently or with a team.
- Provides digital and analog P/PA setup, teardown, and operation services.
- Presents multimedia and P/PA support of all sizes while using computers, projection devices, recorders, front and rear projection screens, audio/visual (A/V) systems, and multimedia systems.
- Provides classified (up to SECRET) "point-to-point" and multipoint video teleconference (VTC) services.
- Schedules VTC conference calls and coordinates with conferencing organizations from around the world.
- Maintains a schedule of upcoming conferences.
- Works in close coordination with activities and departments to ensure responsive and accurate support.
- Provides consultation service to customers, informing them of the capabilities and limitations of the facility, and operates equipment during the conference.
- Coordinates troubleshooting procedures with the Defense Video Services - Global (DVS-G).
- Provides digital and analog electronic services support to include, but not limited to, closed circuit/cable television, broadcast studio, public address audio, and classroom projection equipment and systems.
- Provides technical guidance as required.
- Develops technical recommendations for the modification or replacement of communication-electronics equipment and systems.
- Maintains technological standards and investigates and promotes new technologies for use at the client site.
- Complies with all copyright laws and regulations.
- Observes and adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration and client safety rules and regulations. Fulfills other duties as assigned.
SECONDARY DUTIES:
- Provides technical and non-technical support to the Electronic Services department in cases of manpower shortages or unexpected requirements.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
- Additional duties as assigned by the Electronic Services lead.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have three years of experience in audio/visual (A/V) communications equipment setup, teardown, and operations.
- Must be fully ambulatory and capable of lifting up to and including 50 lb items.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
Education:
- An associate's degree in a communications-related field is preferred. Equivalent experience can be substituted for formal education.
