POSITION SUMMARY
The Program Director for the Healthcare Opportunities for Professional Educational Success (HOPES) program will serve as the primary contact and leader for the NYS Department of Health Healthcare Education and Life-skills Program Grant. The goal of the funding is to increase the number of students, or trainees, pursuing careers in healthcare by offering wrap-around services and support. This role will oversee the full lifecycle of the grant including program management, student engagement and the successful completion of all grant required reporting. The Program Director will lead all day-to-day operations of the grant initiatives including, but not limited to, event planning and the implementation of individualized success plans (ISPs) for student participants. The Program Director will prepare reports, analyze data and make recommendations to the program leadership team and advisory board. The Director will work to enhance the graduate student experience for HOPES students by offering comprehensive support services utilizing a student-centered approach to support that empower students.
The grant supports a variety of student success initiatives that fit under three chapters of the student experience: transition to the program, transition to the profession and the transition to practice. The Director will assist in coordinating and implementing events (bootcamp, tutoring sessions, career readiness workshops and other wrap around services).
This position is funded by external sources and is contingent on the continued receival of those funds.
This position will start no sooner than January 1, 2026.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Job duties specific to this position:
- Collaborate with the program leadership team and advisory board to establish programs, monitor progress and evaluate the grant projects
- Lead the advisory board and work closely with program leaders (faculty) who will provide close consultation on grant initiatives and objectives.
- Supervise the project manager and work closely to provide overall organization of the project
- Ensure that bootcamps and workshops developed by faculty and content experts are developed and implemented in a timely manner. Assist in assessing and managing appropriate documentation for the grant requirements.
- Serve as the forward-facing representative for students involved in the HOPES program.
- Meet regularly with students to develop and implement Individualized Success Plans (ISPs and work to reduce and navigate barriers to services needed for students to be successful.
- Lead the development of and sustains close collaborative relationships with institutional and community partners.
- Attend events that showcase the HOPES program both on and off-campus. Community partners include K-12 education, community and four-year colleges, hospitals, nursing homes, healthcare practitioners, community centers, libraries, non-profit community-based organizations, and a wide range of healthcare facilities.
- Maintain student records and ensure they are readily accessible to authorized personnel regarding student efforts and outcomes
- Monitor and document student progress in a timely and efficient manner according to defined and published policies and procedures
- Identify and address any deficiencies in meeting grant standards as an early intervention protocol
- Lead on-going program assessment, analysis of faculty, staff and student feedback, student progression/attrition data, exit data, and other stakeholder's data in the efforts of continuous quality improvement toward grant goals and objectives.
- Report outcomes quarterly and as required by grant guidelines.
- Oversee and conceptualize strategic communication efforts as related to health professional programs in the Purcell School of Professional Studies.
- Develop strategic marketing plans and materials to help members of the College community and external constituencies understand the mission and purpose of The HOPES Program.
- Serve on campus committees that enhance and/or align with the mission of the grant and contribute to and special projects as identified by program leadership, community partners, the Le Moyne Graduate Student Success team and students.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Master's degree required.
- 5+ years' work experience in higher education, student affairs or closely related fields.
- Experience managing grant-based programs or large-scale student service projects is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience in forward-facing student support positions.
- Experience working with students in healthcare programs is preferred
- Strong technical skills including basic email, office/google suite, and database management
- Experience with budget management
- Applied knowledge of student development theory and trends related to student support and advocacy services in higher education.
- Demonstrated experience working with students in advising/mentoring or closely related roles preferred
- Ability to work professionally and ethically with diverse stakeholders and students, including the ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of persons, documents, data, and communications
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across various departments and offices to meet grant objectives
- Proven ability to navigate organizational barriers and work through challenges to meet the individual needs of students
- An ability to work well independently as well as with diverse teams throughout campus
- Ability to work professionally and ethically with diverse stakeholders and students
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy of persons, documents, data, and communications.

Pay Range: $73,000 - $78,000 annually
