Description:Martin/Martin is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Dry Utility Coordinator to lead the coordination of regulated utility services during the design phase of civil and land development projects. The Dry Utility Coordinator will work with the Engineer of Record, design teams, utility providers, and project stakeholders to ensure efficient planning, timely applications, conflict resolution, and streamlined schedules for regulated utility infrastructure such as gas, electric, steam, internet/broadband, and telecommunications services. Project types will include a broad range of commercial, residential, mixed-use and civil infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Identify existing and potential utility service providers within or adjacent to project limits.
- Request and review utility as-built records; recommend potholing locations (to be performed by others).
- Request 'will-serve' letters from providers, as needed.
- Create potholing plans to identify recommended pothole locations to be performed by others.
- Analyze existing utilities for horizontal/vertical conflicts with proposed improvements.
- Coordinate applications for removal, abandonment, or relocation of existing utilities in conflict with proposed infrastructure.
- Provide proposed horizontal layouts and typical sections for new utility alignments.
- Track all utility conflicts by creating a tracking matrix assigning conflict ID numbers, alternatives, and conflict resolutions acceptable to all stakeholders.
- Graphically represent transformer, switch gear, enclosure locations, and other equipment (designed by utility provider, MEP, and/or technology consultants).
- Coordinate utility sleeve layouts and sizes for roadway crossings, if requested.
- Attend and lead coordination meetings with owners, design teams, and utility providers.
- Coordinate easement alignments with all stakeholders.
- Submit service applications to utility providers based on load data provided by others.
- Facilitate dry utility plan reviews with MEP engineers and technology consultants.
- Works closely with Civil and MEP engineers, technology consultants, and utility providers.
WORKING CONDITIONS/SKILLS/ABILITIES
This position is primarily technical in nature and requires working inside and outside the office to complete a wide range of activities. The following abilities are required:
- Move inside or outside the office and on non-ADA accessible construction sites
- Remain stationary for long periods of time
- Repetitive movement on tasks such as using a keyboard or mouse
- Carry, ascend, and descend a ladder
- Identify color
- Read, communicate, and document in English
- Determine and exchange accurate information
- Occasionally move or hold equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in utility coordination, civil infrastructure, or land development.
- Strong understanding of regulated utility systems and coordination processes.
- Proficiency in reading, interpreting, and creating utility plans.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with Colorado utility providers and permitting processes and Subsurface Utility Engineering requirements.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered Professional Engineer licensed in the State of Colorado.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and utility coordination tools.
- Knowledge of utility provider standards and easement requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
