Description
The RoleGIGA Storage is entering the German market with an ambitious 350 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project near Osnabrück. To successfully develop this project, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager who enjoys hands-on project management and wants to play a key role in shaping the energy transition in Germany.
As our new Project Manager Germany, you will lead the development and coordination of our flagship project from the initial phase through to ready-to-build status. Your main focus will be managing timelines, budgets, and ensuring high-quality outcomes by coordinating with both external partners and internal experts. You will also establish and maintain good relationships with municipalities, landowners, and German grid operators (such as Amprion). Your work will form the foundation for future projects and expansion in the German market.
Your Responsibilities
- Coordinating detailed project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Building and maintaining relationships and negotiating agreements with local stakeholders, authorities, and grid operators.
- Ensuring efficient communication between project teams in Germany, the Netherlands, and Belgium.
- Monitoring project risks and ensuring timely delivery.
- Regularly traveling to our headquarters in Amsterdam for project alignment and team meetings (approximately every two weeks).
- Actively participating in the strategic growth and further expansion of our presence in Germany.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in managing complex projects, ideally within construction, infrastructure, or renewable energy.
- Strong skills in cost control, detailed planning, resource management, and risk management.
- Fluent German (business-level proficiency) and good English skills.
- Good understanding of German permitting processes, local stakeholders, and grid operators.
Beneficial but not essential
- A background in construction or electrical engineering.
- Experience in energy storage or renewable energy projects.
