Description
Job DescriptionManages designs and leads large scale initiatives composed of multiple cross-functional projects. Partners with business stakeholders; develops high performing project teams and utilizes high level Project Management skills, tools and methods to ensure a successful project outcome and full initiative completion. Uses data-based methods to ensure quantitative project measurement, reporting, financial impact and sustainability of project and initiative results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leads multiple projects from assignment or ideation to completion; facilitates project planning sessions with internal stakeholders to determine the scope and objectives of each project; works with business stakeholders to establish quantifiable project performance goals and deliverables; designs project plans, develops timelines, identifies project milestones, and uses data visualization and communication tools to track and report performance against timeline and full completion of deliverables.
- There may be the responsibility to work with business and functional leaders to define tangible and measurable business outcomes and to lead the multiple projects achieving those business outcomes.
- Utilizes Project Management skills and tools to identify project issues and/or risks, collaborates with business leaders, sponsors and team members to resolve them and tracks resolution using data visualization and communication tools.
- Monitors and communicates project status to project team and stakeholders using data-based visualization and communication tools.
- Plans and monitors project budget, conducts research and project data analysis; leads the design and development of project plans and timelines.
- Manages project risk; uses quality tools to identify areas of risk; works with others on the team and outside the team to identify alternatives or solutions to mitigate or eliminate risk.
- Utilizes Change Management tools and methods to ensure alternatives or solutions are high adopted by organization impacted.
- Leverages experience and skills of cross-functional resources and resources external to the project team; documents and shares best practices and lessons learned with other teams; draws on other project team experiences to enhance the success of the projects and development of Project Management skills.
- Ensures that project documentation is complete, accessible, digital and formatted for future use; monitors measures and communicates with Project Sponsor and other stakeholders on status of specific projects and assignments using data visualization and communication tools and methods.
- Identifies and assigns appropriate resources to accomplish various project tasks, guides and coaches team members through various stages of the project using appropriate tools and methods; provides project management coaching and guidance to project team members, Project Managers, Coordinators and support staff.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
- College, university, or equivalent Bachelors degree or experience equivalent is required. Quality Green Belt certified.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
- Minimum 5+ years relevant work experience required. Project or team leadership experience preferred.
- Japanese speaking & writing skills are required, as to deal with different counter parts.

- Leads multiple cross-functional projects that may comprise a program from inception to completion; facilitates project planning sessions with internal stakeholders to determine the scope and objectives of each project; works with business stakeholders to establish project performance goals; designs project plan, develops timeline, identifies project milestones, and tracks performance against performance goals and timeline.
- In very large programs this role could include the responsibility to work with business and functional leaders to define tangible and measurable business outcomes and to lead the program achieving those business outcomes. Identifies, tracks, and works with others to resolve project issues.
- Monitors and communicates project status to project team. Plans and monitors project budget, conducts research and analysis; provides input into the design and development of project plans and timelines.
- Manages project risk; uses quality tools to identify areas of risk; identifies alternatives or solutions; applies motivational techniques to broad-based organization change issues.
- Leverages experience of cross-functional resources and resources external to the project team; documents and shares team learning's with other teams; draws on other project team experiences to enhance the success of the project.
- Ensures that project documentation is complete; monitors measures and communicates with Project Sponsor and other stakeholders on status of specific projects and assignments.
- Identifies and assigns appropriate resources to accomplish various project tasks; guides and coaches team members through various stages of the project; provides developmental feedback to team members; coaches other Project Managers in managing teams.
