Gallagher's Americas Division is looking for a Project Manager who will be responsible for leading multiple projects. This project manager is a skilled professional, able to interact seamlessly with the business to develop plans, coordinate teams, and develop high quality assets for projects, while managing the relationships necessary to complete assigned projects assigned to them. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining project plans to support projects of varying size or sub-projects within a program, as well as the ongoing building and maintenance of project management, governance, and support materials; work may also include analysis activities.
This role will report to the Director, GGB Americas PMO team. This person will work closely with other key project support functions, including Change Management & Internal Communications, Training, and Marketing resources.
How you'll make an impact
Responsible for leading and coordinating project-related activities as assigned, including (but not limited to):
- Coordination and execution on the overall direction of the projects assigned.
- Development and execution of several project plans, coordinating with key corporate and business resources to manage all related project efforts. Fully understands the scope of a project and its success criteria and works to promptly deliver on the project timeline, goals, and measures of success.
- Coordinates and facilitates cross-functional team and project governance meetings to promote engagement and compliance with planned timelines.
- Collaborates with Change Management & Internal Communications, Training, Marketing, Operations, business subject matter experts, business project sponsors, and other teams to build integrated plans in support of project efforts and ensure timely delivery of assets to support business needs.
- Measures success and monitors progress for all project delivery metrics.
- Provides project status for the project business leaders/sponsors and other division executive committees.
- Ensures all project deliverables are in alignment with GGB Americas PMO processes; reviews and organizes assets prior to delivery to internal clients.
- Manages all assigned partner/vendor resources for adherence to timeline, deliverables, quality and process.
- Able to manage a small budget, and provide related reporting, as needed, to support project needs.
About you
- Bachelor's degree
- 5-7 years applicable experience in the management of projects, including operational improvement and business transformation projects.
- Proficient in developing and integrating, work plan(s) that may span multiple sub-projects and stakeholders; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working on projects in an internal client-facing role, within a sales, client service, and operations environment is a plus.
- Able to create and update project materials, schedule meetings, create agendas and meeting materials and follow up on deliverables.
- Strong consulting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent presence and ability to build and sustain professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong work ethic compounded with a sense of urgency.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong business acumen.
- Highly detail-oriented, and able to tailor communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Working knowledge of Project Management methodology and processes, Project Management tools, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Fast learner, self-starter, team player, good at collaborating.
- Driven, flexible, can handle a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
- Prior experience in the insurance brokerage industry is a plus.
