Project Manager
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the Japan delivery of a high-impact Single Ledger finance transformation initiative. This role sits at the center of a complex, cross-functional program and will partner closely with business, finance, technology, and regional/global stakeholders to ensure successful execution.
This is an excellent opportunity for a project leader who thrives in multinational environments, has experience with finance or ERP-related initiatives, and can confidently operate in both Japanese and English.
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end project management for the Single Ledger initiative in Japan
- Build and manage detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, risks, issues, and dependencies
- Coordinate across business, finance, IT, and vendor teams to drive execution and alignment
- Facilitate working group meetings, steering committees, and stakeholder reviews
- Track progress and provide clear, regular status updates to local and global leadership
- Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and escalation items
- Drive effective change management, communication, and stakeholder engagement
- Support business requirements, solution discussions, testing coordination, training, and go-live readiness
- Ensure deliverables are completed on time and to the required quality
- Align the Japan implementation with regional and global program governance and objectives
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT, or a related field
- Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional projects as a Project Manager
- Experience with finance transformation, ERP implementations, or enterprise financial systems
- Strong understanding of project management disciplines (planning, governance, risk & issue management)
- Ability to manage stakeholders across local, regional, and global teams
- Business-level fluency in Japanese and English (spoken and written)
- Experience working in a multinational, matrixed organization
Nice to Have
- Experience with Single Ledger, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, or similar ERP platforms
- Knowledge of accounting, finance operations, and reporting processes
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification
- Experience supporting system testing, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization
- Strong understanding of Japan business practices and global collaboration
