Description
We are looking for an individual to work in the QA Department within our Wayne, NE manufacturing facility. This person will be responsible for inspecting product to determine compliance according to order specifications and quality control, in addition to assuring conformity of all in-bound and out-bound material to specified standards.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist in machine set-up when requiredDiscard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specificationsAnalyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments requiredInspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, and work for conformance to specificationsNotify supervisors and other personnel of production problems and assist in identifying and correcting issues on the shop floorDiscuss inspection results with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actionsRecord inspection or test data; such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or gradedMark items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection statusObserve and monitor production operations and equipment to ensure conformance to specifications and make or order necessary process or assembly adjustmentsRead, interpret and understand blueprints and engineered drawingsAdditional Responsibilities
Measure, weigh, or count product and materialUse hand and/or power tools; to include, but not limited to, grinders, sanders, banding toolsGrade, classify, and sort materials according to company standards or specificationsFabricate, assemble or disassemble manufactured productsOperate industrial and non-destructive testing equipmentUse precision gauges and measuring toolsAttach tags or identify products and/or containers to be held or shippedMove materials or goods between work areasLoad, unload, and stack containers, materials and other productsOrganize, plan, and prioritize work and work areaQualifications
Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.Basic desk top computer skills to include, but not limited to, Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, and OutlookAbility to use, maintain, and read gauges, calipers, and other manufacturing measuring devicesBackground knowledge in ISO9001-2008 an assetLifting and moving heavy parts requiredAble to stand, walk, bend and twist for at least eight hours per dayRequires considerable visual attention to detailUS Citizen or Green Card holderWorking Conditions
Environment consistent with a manufacturing plant with exposure to machines, moving parts, and noisePhysical demands include standing for more than one hour at a time, occasionally lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 65 pounds, and climbing up and down from semi-truck trailersFlexible schedule may be needed in order to meet project deadlines.
