Position Title: Rail Systems Coordinator
About the Position
Were seeking a Rail System Coordinator to support large, heavy-civil rail transit programs. Your primary focus will be supporting the planning, execution, and oversight of all rail systems activities across a program or programs. This role partners with design-build teams, program and project management consultants, and stakeholders to help resolve rail systems issues, manage complex system interfaces, and keep work progressing in alignment with established program objectives and technical standards. Working in close coordination with the Construction Office and Program Delivery teams, the position contributes across the full lifecycle of rail systems work, including systems design review, field installation oversight, integration planning, and commissioning support.
This is a long-term, full-time, on-site position located in Fresno, CA.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead coordination and oversight of rail systems delivery throughout all phases of the program, aligning activities with established project controls and delivery processes.
- Partner with design-build teams and internal stakeholders to drive resolution of rail systems issues spanning design coordination, system interfaces, installation, integration, testing, and commissioning.
- Track construction and systems schedules, including review of short-term look-ahead plans, to validate sequencing and confirm key milestones remain achievable.
- Assist in resolving contract-related, third-party, and technical challenges that impact rail systems progress.
- Contribute to the development, refinement, and implementation of policies, procedures, tools, and strategies that strengthen rail systems oversight and execution.
- Promote consistent use of systems engineering approaches and sound project management practices across rail systems activities.
- Provide direct support to the Deputy Program Construction Director on targeted initiatives, reporting needs, and time-sensitive rail systems assignments.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering (electrical, systems, mechanical), construction management, project management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 6+ years' experience working on large-scale infrastructure or rail construction projects.
- Experience in rail systems project delivery or oversight.
- Familiarity with system integration and commissioning of complex rail projects.
- Experience with industry standard project and construction management software (e.g., Primavera P6, TILOS, MS Project, Bluebeam, RSMeans, etc.).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in in engineering (electrical, systems, mechanical), construction management, project management.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements related to rail systems projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Power BI, Oracle Cloud Analytics, or other dashboard KPI reporting software.
Compensation Details
The salary range listed for this role is $100k-$165k/year ($48-$79/hour). The final salary offered will be based on multiple factors and thoughtfully aligned with each candidates level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, geographic location, etc.
