Overview
The Repair and Overhaul department is a certified FAA Repair Station for the large client base of OEMs and sub-tier suppliers. We repair Valves, Actuators, and Switches for commercial and military aircraft.
We are looking a Repair Technician (bench) who will perform repairs such as circuits, soldering, adhesive bonding, inspection, protecting, wrapping, packaging, winding, trimming, joining, cleaning, foaming, crimping, sanding, electrical measuring, weighing, blueprint interpretation to meet customer requirements. Test and repairs are rigorously performed until repairs are complete to acceptance test procedures and routing procedures.Responsibilities
- Interpret Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM's), assembly blueprints, drawings, schematics and engineering specificationsUse a variety of hand tools and precision measuring instruments to ensure conformance to specificationsBuilds, tests and repairs/overhauls a variety of aircraft components and sub-assemblies.Cleans, assembles, disassembles and replaces parts as requiredRecords time on labor sheets for each process of repairedInspects all parts for cleanliness and flawsSends repaired products to test or to quality assurance final inspection
Qualifications
- 2 years electro-mechanical assemblyMust be able to read and interpret CMM's, blueprints, drawings, schematics and specifications.Must be familiar with FAA CFR's, EASA part 145 and AS9100 Regulations.Airframe & Power Plant Certificate a plus but not required.Must be able to pass FAA Drug and Alcohol testMust be knowledgeable in the use of MRP computer systems.Associate's degree a plus but not requiredMust have working knowledge of basic shop math and be able to complete basic electrical formulas.Must be able to accurately and efficiently use a variety of assembly hand tools and precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers and dial indicators.Preferred experience in an FAA Part 145 Repair Station environment.
