The Just Solutions Collective is a national Black, Indigenous, People of Color-led organization that broadens and deepens the understanding and advancement of equitable and effective climate policies and programs. We believe urgent and bold action is needed to drive our country's transition to an equitable clean energy future and that communities most harmed by climate change must play a leadership role in designing, prioritizing, and implementing solutions. Our highly experienced advisory board, staff, and senior policy fellows across the country offer action-based research, policy expertise, customized training/technical assistance, and a robust network supporting the movement for environmental and climate justice.

  • Evaluate and prioritize requests for research, analysis, and technical assistance/training and determine our capacity to provide and/or complete deliverables for EJ-CJ state coalitions, partner groups, and Hubs.
  • Set clear expectations for excellence, anticipate staffing and operational needs, and oversee the overall production of work to meet deliverables on time and within budget.
  • Support Project Managers to define and execute project scope, objectives, detailed activities, and deliverables.
  • Regularly assess progress and impact and revise strategies when needed.

  • Determine the number of staff needed to complete our planned programmatic work, and hire and build out the internal team needed to grow and execute initiatives and/or projects moving forward.
  • Set and communicate clear expectations for staff performance, leadership, and advancement.
  • Supervise and support the project managers to ensure they meet their full potential, including routine meetings, evaluations, and professional development opportunities.
  • Support and create space and opportunities for staff to lead, take risks, and innovate.
  • Ensure staff have the resources and coaching to understand the political climate and the role of Just Solutions and our partners.

  • Identify, develop and initially maintain internal tracking, reporting, and communications systems to ensure the highest level of coordination and outcomes.
