We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Senior Manager, Group FP&A .
This role within the Group Financial Planning and Analysis team will give you the opportunity to support strategic decision-making at the highest level, influence the bank's strategy and direction, and engage with senior executive forums and stakeholders. The role will support Group Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) by conducting analysis, developing impactful materials for senior executive consumption and supporting the Forecast and planning processes, evaluating forecast accuracy against actual performance using a number of key performance indicators and metrics.
This is a high-profile role, with significant exposure to senior stakeholders and the-role holder will be required to articulate complex concepts in a clear and succinct manner to this audience. Additionally, the role involves leading change and representing Group FP&A across finance-wide initiatives.
In this role, you will:
- OpCo Executive MI: Develop financial and supporting Management Information (MI) for reporting and analysis to the Group Operating Committee (OpCo) to enable strategic decision-making. This includes creating both digitized reports and written materials for senior forums and stakeholders.
- Group CFO Ad Hoc Decision Support: Support senior management with ad-hoc requests requiring thematic responses to internal or external stimuli, such as analysis for specific products or business units to support strategic discussions.
- Investor/Equity Analyst Baselining: Compare internal forecasts of performance across business lines with external analysts' research and calculations, and support management in addressing any identified differences.
- Forecasting and Planning Process: Assist in managing the Forecasting and Planning processes, ensuring timely execution and managing interdependencies with various stakeholders, including Finance IT systems and other Group teams.
- Change and Transformation: Lead initiatives to increase efficiency and quality of MI output through automation and new technology implementation, representing Group FP&A in working groups and delivering projects to completion.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:
- Qualified Finance Professional: ACA, CA, ACCA, CFA, CIMA, MBA, MA (Finance) or equivalent.
- Financial Services Exposure: Demonstrable FP&A experience within Banking is essential.
- FP&A Experience: Proven ability to conduct rigorous financial analysis and develop management information (MI) for senior stakeholders. In addition, experience supporting forecasting and planning processes, across multiple business line and functions.
- Transformation Mindset: Knowledge of best-in-class forecasting and planning processes and systems along with experience driving ongoing process transformation, optimising the trade-off between detail and efficiency.
- Analytical Skills and strategic thinking: Experience in conducting rigorous data-driven analysis and developing impactful materials for senior executive consumption. Commercially minded and customer focused.
- Compliance and Controls: Familiarity with internal controls requirements and experience in adhering to compliance policies and procedures.
- Communication Skills: Significant experience working and presenting to senior Finance and non-finance staff with outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) for senior audiences.
- Change Management: Experience in leading change initiatives, particularly those involving automation and new technology implementation (reporting systems experience would be preferred).
- Stakeholder Management: Track record of collaborating with a wide range of Finance stakeholders, including senior executives, boards, audit committees, and regulators.
The base location for this role will be London and with a hybrid working pattern.
