Summary Description
We’re looking for a skilled accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. In this role, you’ll help ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements, implement strong control systems, and proactively resolve discrepancies. You’ll work closely with the Controller and partner with leaders across Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing, HR, IT, and Executive teams to support strategic goals and drive continuous improvement.

What will your day-to-day look like?
- Ensure timely and accurate accounting for all assigned legal entities (USA, CAD, AUD).
- Prepare or review monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts and present findings to senior management.
- Compile consolidated monthly financial statements promptly and accurately.
- Lead and manage the Accounts Payable team, ensuring compliance and proper documentation for all payment methods.
- Oversee 1099 processing and related compliance.
- Manage and mentor the Accounting Manager, fostering a high-performance team culture.
- Administer fixed asset accounting for North America and APAC, ensuring proper classification and compliance for book and tax purposes.
- Partner with Operations Finance and Cost Accounting to validate product, inventory, and manufacturing cost accuracy.
- Develop and monitor KPI metrics for team members, driving accountability and performance.
- Serve as the primary contact for external audits; prepare and review all schedules for year-end financial audits and 401(k) plan audits.
- Manage general accounting functions and provide support across the accounting team as needed.
- Advise on GAAP application and assist with implementing new accounting standards.
- Create, update, and enforce financial policies and procedures.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance accounting processes.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Develop and oversee internal audit functions to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and segregation of duties.
- Investigate and reconcile financial discrepancies through detailed account analysis.
- Perform substantive transaction audits and assist with other audit-related activities.
- Contribute to special projects and cross-functional initiatives as required.
Requirements
What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA designation strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Background in corporate manufacturing or public accounting with exposure to manufacturing clients.
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in automated accounting systems and advanced financial analysis.
- Strong technical expertise in GAAP and GAAS.
- Continuous improvement mindset with proven process optimization experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with Oracle Fusion or similar ERP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex projects effectively.
- Exceptional analytical, reasoning, and numeric skills.
- Highly organized and deadline-driven.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
- Credible, decisive, and aligned with organizational priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA designation.
- Experience leading audits and managing cross-functional projects.
Familiarity with manufacturing cost accounting and global operations.
