Description
Software Engineering & Development (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Quincy, Massachusetts): Will build and manage scalable applications involving cloud-based infrastructure (Azure/Snowflake/Cosmos DB) and Enterprise Servicing Platform (ESP). Specific job duties include: Design, build and test end to end data pipeline including data ingestion (streaming, events, and batch), data integration, data curation; Design, develop, and deploy scalable data pipelines and ETL processes on cloud-based infrastructure using Azure, Snowflake, DBT, Airflow, Cosmos DB; Collaborate with Technology and Business teams; Develop ETL/ELT Processes using SQL, PL/SQL on ESP Platform; Develop reports using tools such as SSRS, IRD; and Develop ETL jobs using SSIS. Hybrid telecommuting permitted pursuant to Company policy.
Minimum requirements are: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field; and 6 years in any role providing IT/Software Development Experience.
Must have: Total experience above must include at least 5 years of experience working in financial industry. Must also have the following: solid knowledge and work experience in multi-platform enterprise application architecture, development, and maintenance; Solid knowledge and work experience in relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata; Solid knowledge and work experience on Snowflake; Strong proficiency in SQL scripting such T-SQL, PL/SQL, BTEQ; Experience with version control tools such as GIT, SVN; Hands-on development experience with ETL tools and utilities such as SSIS, FastLoad, MultiLoad; Hands-on development experience on ESP; In-depth knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and best practices; Experience as a data engineer, including data pipeline development, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling; Proven experience with Agile Development Methodologies; Demonstrated good communication skills, and ability to successfully collaborate well with different teams/stakeholders and vendors; and Proven ability to work independently. (Unless otherwise indicated, State Street is seeking the ability in the skills listed above with no specific number of years of experience required. All experience can be gained concurrently).
Salary: $178,131 to $180,000 Annual.
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
