Job summary:
We are seeking an experienced SSIS Lead to drive the design, development, and optimization of our data integration and ETL processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex data challenges, leading technical initiatives, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of enterprise data pipelines. You'll collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions that power critical business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of SSIS packages and ETL workflows.
- Establish best practices, coding standards, and performance optimization techniques for ETL processes.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor developers on SSIS, SQL, and data integration patterns.
- Build, maintain, and enhance complex SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Integrate data from multiple sources including SQL Server, APIs, flat files, cloud platforms, and third-party systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve ETL failures, performance bottlenecks, and data quality issues.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design scalable and secure data integration frameworks.
- Ensure ETL processes align with data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Maintain documentation for ETL workflows, data mappings, and operational procedures.
- Work with business teams to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical guidance during project planning, estimation, and solution design.
- Communicate progress, risks, and technical decisions to leadership and cross-functional teams.
- 6+ years of hands-on experience with SSIS, Data Modelling, Data Warehousing and SQL Server Integration Services development.
- Strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, query optimization, and relational database concepts.
- Proven experience leading ETL or data integration projects in an enterprise environment.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing, star/snowflake schemas, and dimensional modeling.
- Experience with version control Git, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, AWS Glue, etc.) is a strong plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
