.Job Purpose:
At DBS, we are reimagining banking to make it simpler, faster and more intelligent. As the largest Card Issuer in Singapore, we combine strong risk discipline with data-driven decision-making and digital innovation to deliver joy to our customers. We are looking for a senior professional to strengthen and continuously optimize our credit and debit card portfolio, and grow the Cards business through advanced data analytics, rigorous risk management, and precise fraud detection and prevention.
This role demands strategic leadership in excellent data analytical skills, deep domain knowledge of the cards business in order to improve cards profitability and transaction security. This role also blends the accountabilities of financial delivery as well as building the right technology platform.
Responsibilities:
- Portfolio performance analysis: deep-dive into customer segments to identify behavioural trends, transactional and credit risk patterns. Use analytical tools to build dashboards and uncover forecastable trends. Present clear, actionable insights to senior management. And subsequently develop and drive new revenue and business growth opportunities using data-driven insights.
- Transaction lifecycle & success rate optimisation: analyse end-to-end transaction lifecycle performance. Identify drivers of transaction declines such as 3D and transaction tokenisation frictions, system and risk settings that affect transaction success rate. And further improve transaction approval rate for different mode of cards payments such as domestic, cross-border, card-present, card-not-present, 3DS, Card-on-File, mobile wallet.
- Fraud detection rules optimisation: review latest fraud trends and typologies based on internal transactional and customer behavioural data, AI-powered models, and combined with fraud triggers from partners and industry best practices. Collaborate with stakeholders from Fraud, Authorisation and Technology to optimise existing fraud rules, deploy new rules, test rule performance and monitor post implementation impact by balancing fraud detection and false positive declines.
- Payment security customer experience uplift: lead cross functional team consists of Contact Center and Operations teams to design the best in class customer servicing model and digital experiences to notify cardholder of suspicious fraudulent transaction, increase adoption of self serve payment controls settings.
- Dispute chargeback process optimisation: redesign dispute chargeback workflow together with Operations and Technology to automate fraud and non-fraud end-to-end dispute chargeback process. Deliver better operational efficiency and the same time manage net fraud losses.
- Innovation: Collaborate with Technology, Platform and Operations teams to implement and improve the cards fraud detection and dispute chargeback engines.
- 10 to 15 years of proven experiences in credit cards and debit cards domain at a senior level
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong ability to interpret complex cards transactional data, financial performance, and customer behavioural data to inform strategic decisions and drive actionable insights.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic projects and drive product development from conceptualization to launch.
- Experience with fraud management and credit risk frameworks within the cards business.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams and influence stakeholders across various functions.
