Troxler Electronic Laboratories, Inc., seeks Software Business Analyst (Durham, NC) Duties: Leverage expertise to study and analyze Troxler’s business domain, document its processes and systems, outline business requirements, and match Troxler’s software business model with the software being built. Bridge the gap between stakeholders and the development team, interpreting business and market requirements into understandable development tasks to match a final software product with the expected business value. Clarify the primary purposes of the future product, setting up the primary product benchmarks (i.e., customer acquisition strategy and value proposition). Help define success metrics and KPIs aligned with user outcomes and business goals. Analyze cost structures and financial data to support pricing analysis and evaluate product margins, providing insights to inform business decisions. Conduct cost-benefit analysis for proposed system enhancements and process improvements. Conduct market and competitor research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive gaps, providing insights to support the product roadmap and business decision-making. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather, clarify, and document business needs, ensuring a shared understanding of project objectives. Convert business requirements into clear, actionable user stories, product requirement documents, use cases, and acceptance criteria for development teams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, development, QA, sales, and support throughout the product lifecycle to ensure timely delivery and alignment on goals, scope, and priorities. Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and sprint reviews to support product delivery, align with the product roadmap, and ensure stakeholder engagement. Support go-to-market activities and post-launch efforts by coordinating with marketing, sales, and customer success teams to track adoption, collect user feedback, and identify improvement areas. Leverage analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to monitor user behavior, uncover pain points, and guide data-driven decisions. Create process flow diagrams and wireframes using tools like Lucidchart, Figma to clearly visualize workflows, and user experiences, enhancing communication, fostering collaboration, and driving effective solution design. Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Validate resource requirements and develop cost estimate models. Leverage basic database querying skills to extract actionable insights and drive data-informed product decisions. Engage with ERP systems as needed to understand business workflows and ensure product alignment with operational requirements. Identify process gaps between current and desired states, uncover opportunities to improve workflows and reporting processes, and recommend system enhancements to optimize operational efficiency. Provide end-user training and post-implementation support to ensure smooth adoption of new features and process changes. Contribute to the writing and implementation of Use and Test cases. Validate business requirements; Assuring compliance of the development outcomes with a customer’s business goals when approving drafted documentation with business requirements included. Obtain feedback from stakeholders while the product is being developed and ensuring product improvements according to the obtained data. Improve systems by studying current practices and designing modifications. Communicate project updates, release notes, and process changes to stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of new functionality. Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports. Create informative, actionable, and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement.
Required: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering Management, Information Systems or related field plus 6 months of experience in the job offered, as Systems Analyst or related position.
Must have experience with:
Agile methodology to translate business requirements into user stories with acceptance criteria, manage the product backlog, and engage in sprint planning using Jira or similar tools.
Data analytics and visualization dashboards such as PowerBI, Tableau or similar.
Financial analysis related to cost, product margins, and pricing.
Defining API requirements for web or mobile applications.
SQL or similar for data querying and analysis.
Must have experience and/or coursework in cloud computing concepts.
