Michigan Radio is an NPR News Station, and the state’s most listened-to public radio service. We simulcast programming on three FM transmitters…WUOM 91.7 FM in Southeast Michigan, WFUM 91.1 FM in Flint, and WVGR 104.1 FM in West Michigan. Our stations attract nearly 500,000 listeners each week across the southern half of Michigan’s Lower Peninsula, and a worldwide audience through our online audio stream. Michigan Radio also provides an in-depth online news service at www.michiganradio.org that provides updated news stories throughout the day.

Day in and day out, Michigan Radio is dedicated to covering the news stories that affect our lives as citizens of Michigan, and helping our listeners better understand their state, nation and world. Michigan Radio has the largest radio newsroom in the state with an awarding-winning team of reporters and news bureaus located in Detroit, Ann Arbor, Jackson and Grand Rapids. Besides carrying a full range of programming from NPR, PRI, and the BBC, we also produce local features like The Environment Report, Michigan Watch investigative reports, Jack Lessenberry’s Essays, hourly newscasts, feature reports, and in-depth special news series and documentaries.
