Company Overview
Rural Dynamics, Inc. (RDI) is a statewide financial empowerment center that provides programs to help people achieve financial wellness.
We are working towards a future where everyone is able to access equitable economic opportunities in our communities.
Along with financial counseling and education, our nonprofit offers housing counseling, homebuyer workshops, special needs trusts, no-cost tax preparation, and low-interest assistive technology lending.
Our programs and partnerships all provide pathways to building financial resilience. We also utilize indirect or upstream strategies such as forming coalitions, leading communications, capacity building for poverty reduction, and advocacy support to meet our mission.
Our nonprofit provides all services and programs statewide in Montana.
Company History
Rural Dynamics, Incorporated (RDI) was formed on April 19, 1968 as a non-profit community organization providing financial counseling and education for Montana consumers. Today at RDI, we tell our clients that helping them achieve financial wellness is at the heart of all we do.

Time Away
All full-time employees receive 19 paid days off during the first year of employment, in addition to 10 company-paid holidays per year. Use it for a fabulous vacation, to play nurse (or patient) at home, or sit on your couch watching DIY marathons on HGTV all day. It’s your time. Enjoy.
Lifelong Learning
Continuous learners can get a classroom fix in a couple of different ways. Our team members are eligible for up to $2,500 in tuition reimbursement per year. In addition, Invest in Yourself, our in-house educational program offers ample opportunities to learn about a variety of topics ranging from cash flow planning to Microsoft Excel to stress management.
Loan Relief
We are a qualified employer under the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program, which means that you may be able to have a portion of your federal student loans forgiven after meeting certain eligibility requirements of the PSLF program.
Family Time
We believe that family matters, especially when there is a new arrival! We offer paid Maternity and Paternity benefits.
Employee Assistance
We offer an Employee Assistance Program from day one! This voluntary, 100% confidential, work-based program offers free assessments, short-term counseling, referrals and follow-up services. This program is here to support a full spectrum of issues and concerns that affect mental and emotional wellbeing.
Vested Interest
Employees can start contributing to a 403(b) retirement plan right away! We also have a 401(a) Profit Sharing Plan. After one year of employment, we make a monthly contribution to eligible employees’ Profit Sharing Account equivalent to 5% of monthly gross compensation.

We also offer a wide range of medical insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, life Insurance, AD&D, short-term disability, Aflac, long-term disability, and even pet insurance.
