Description
Business FunctionTechnology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
The Global Financial Markets (GFM) group carries out trading business and offers investment products to regional customers of both Consumer Banking Group and Institutional Banking Group. GFM is an important Business Unit for driving the bank's growth strategy.
This position provides operational support to the Global Financial Markets business and assist both internal and external customers on enquiries.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Team Head to supervise and guide the subordinates to ensure smooth running of the section
- Perform fund valuation and net asset value reconciliation
- Check general ledger and transaction input
- Liaise with auditor on Fund audit work
- Check to ensure subscription and redemption records are properly updated in the system
- Handle enquiries from fund manager in an efficient manner
- Check to ensure stock and cash reconciliation and ensure fees and expenses are properly accrued
- Adhere to the operating procedures, and comply with company requirements, regulatory requirements (e.g. HKMA, MAS, etc) and Audit / Risk Management guidelines pertaining to the operations
- Report any suspicious / outstanding transaction or incident to Team Head, Department Head and other relevant parties for necessary action per the Incident Management Policy
- Participate in user acceptance test for system enhancements. Review business requirements and functional specifications. Prepare test cases and conduct testing
- Participate in project initiatives and business development, e.g. customer implementation, business continuity management, review of operational procedures, policies and guidelines; specific and job related training, etc.
- Handle regular and ad hoc tasks as designed by Team Head and Department Head
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in fund accounting or a similar role
- Proficient in financial analysis, data management, and problem-solving
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
