Position Overview
Splash Club is seeking an energetic, organized, and experienced Assistant Swim Coach & Lesson Program Manager to join our staff full-time. This unique role blends leadership of our expanding swim lesson program with hands-on coaching responsibilities for our competitive team. The ideal candidate is passionate about swimmer development, comfortable managing people and processes, and excited to contribute to a club with deep history and strong community support.
Compensation & Benefits
Up to $40,000 annual salary, commensurate with experience
25% of net increase in lesson program revenue
Mileage, meals, and lodging covered for required team travel
4 weeks (20 weekdays) PTO annually
Private desk space in shared office with the Head Age Group Coach
Team laptop and iPad provided
Key Responsibilities
Assistant Coaching Duties
Collaborate closely with the Executive Director and Head Age Group Coach
Primary coaching responsibilities involve 10andunder swimmers
Provide ondeck coaching during assigned practices
Complete meet entries for assigned groups
Create parent education materials and maintain consistent communication with assigned training groups
Attend swim meets as assigned by the Executive Director
Lesson Program Management
Lead, manage, and grow the Splash Club swim lesson program
Schedule, supervise, and evaluate lesson instructors
Recruit, hire, and train new staff
Oversee registration, billing, and daily operations using team software
Coordinate advertising, marketing, and community outreach
Build and maintain strong relationships with families, partners, and local organizations
Qualifications
Extensive competitive swimming experience (as a swimmer or coach)
Current USA Swimming coach in good standing
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree
Preferred: ASCA membership in good standing
Preferred: Red Cross Lifeguard certification
