Assistant Esports CoachDepartment: Athletics
Location: Wellesley Hills

Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college, offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.
Position Summary:
The ideal candidate will join a vibrant educational community and have a desire and ability to serve a population of students with various needs and backgrounds. This is a part-time, non-unit position with no benefits. The candidate will work in conjunction with head coach to supervise and develops an intercollegiate varsity team, including in-season and off-season programming, in accordance with institutional and departmental objectives within the rules and regulations of the athletic governing bodies.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Support planning, coordination, and execution of esports practices, matches, and tournaments;
- Assist with scheduling, communication, and logistics for MassBay esports team events and activities;
- Help manage esports facilities, equipment, and game platforms (PCs/consoles);
- Contribute to the production support of livestreams and broadcasts for matches (e.g., setup, OBS, Twitch);
- Assist with social media content, digital engagement, and promoting esports events on MassBay platforms;
- Compile and track participation metrics, match results, and program outcomes;
- Provide general administrative support to the Esports Program Coach and Athletic Department.
- Represent the MassBay esports program in a professional and inclusive manner;
- Other duties as assigned.
This list is not to be considered all-inclusive. A supervisor may assign other duties as required to meet the needs and foster the mission of the College.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree;
- Experience in gaming / esports.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Sensitivity and commitment to the goals of Affirmative Action;
- Experience working in a community college or similar environment;
- Demonstrated commitment to working with students in need;
- Recruiting experience;
- Knowledge of Discord.
Additional Information:
Salary Range: $7,000 per season
Classification: Part-time, Non-Unit
Source of Funding: Local Trust
