Description
Reporting to the VP, Global Total Rewards, HR Systems and Data Analytics, the Associate Director (“AD”) will be responsible for supporting the team in a wide variety of projects, including those related to compensation, benefits, and payroll. The AD will have a unique opportunity to develop across the function and serve as a project manager and key contributor to changes that will drive the next phases of growth for Immunocore and the HR Team.
The AD will bring a continuous improvement and process-focused mindset and use data to influence business decisions. The Total Rewards team possesses a “roll-up-your-sleeves” mentality, and the AD will play a critical role in partnering with Finance, Legal, Leadership and within the broader HR Team.
Note: General familiarity with global payroll requirements is helpful but not essential. This role will provide oversight for the function versus administering its day-to-day operations.
Requirements
In General:
- Support the design, implementation and administration of the company’s compensation and benefit programs and provide oversight of US and European payrolls
- Identify new automation opportunities for manual processes to drive digital capabilities with great understanding of often complex compensation and benefit plan rules
- Perform SOX controls and other compliance/governance tasks in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including engaging with the company’s auditors
- Prepare engaging employee communications that drive understandability, leverage online tools and resources and are practical, succinct and meet employee expectations
- Offer recommendations to improve overall operational efficiency, minimizing risk, maximizing effectiveness, and ensuring cost containment
- Serve as a strategic and technical partner to HRBPs, HR Ops and Leadership
- Conduct audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of data and reporting
- Possess a deep understanding of applicable state, federal, local and other laws and regulations, including those related to taxation, employment and general HR matters
- Deploy systems, support integrations and improve reporting/dashboarding and analytics
- Create year-end reporting required for rewards and payroll under applicable law
- Manage the establishment and maintenance of new rewards and payroll programs and systems outside of the U.S., in new countries and, in particular, across Europe
- Complete market pricings of pay to support Talent Acquisition and other business efforts
- Submit salary survey responses and develop tools that streamline use of the data by HR
- Drive annual processes around bonus, merit, promotions and market adjustments
- Review global payrolls ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with system controls
- Partner with Finance on budgeting, invoices, accounting and other cross-functional matters
- Leverage artificial intelligent to enhance employee experience, including the development of chatbots, support tools and other cutting-edge HR initiatives
Other:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including with high-growth public companies
- Global company experience required with UK and Biotech expertise strongly preferred
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (“CEBS”), Certified Compensation Professional (“CCP”) or similar designations helpful
- Expert excel skills and a deep understanding of HR systems and processes
- Knowledgeable of applicable securities, tax and other laws related to rewards and payroll
- Excellent communication and the ability to work well with people at all levels
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving, and management skills
- Resilient and able to work in a fast-paced team environment with a resilience mindset
- Proven time management and prioritization skills to navigate competing demands
