Job Description
The following the responsibilities of the role
- Define and execute the overall business strategy for the NRI segment, aligned with the organisation's broader wealth management objectives.
- Build, lead and scale a high-performing NRI-focused relationship management and advisory team.
- Develop and manage relationships with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth NRI clients, acting as a senior point of contact for key relationships.
- Drive asset gathering, revenue growth and profitability across investment, advisory and lending solutions relevant to NRI clients.
- Oversee client acquisition strategies across priority geographies, referral networks and strategic partnerships.
- Ensure delivery of holistic wealth solutions, including investments, portfolio advisory, estate and succession planning, and cross-border structuring.
- Work closely with investment, product, legal and compliance teams to ensure solutions are aligned with regulatory requirements across jurisdictions.
- Monitor market trends, client needs and competitive dynamics within the NRI wealth management space.
- Maintain strong governance, risk management and conduct standards across all client and business activities.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, client forums and strategic engagements relevant to the NRI segment.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate has the following:
- 15+ years' experience in private banking or wealth management, with a significant focus on NRI clientele.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification or professional certifications preferred.
- Proven track record of building and scaling NRI-focused wealth management businesses.
- Deep understanding of NRI client needs, including cross-border investments, structuring, taxation considerations and succession planning.
- Strong leadership experience managing senior relationship managers and advisory teams.
- Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, client acquisition and long-term client retention.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with credibility at UHNW client level.
- Strong commercial judgement, governance mindset and commitment to ethical client outcomes.
