Description
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION
Ohana Pacific Health (OPH) is a mission-driven healthcare organization dedicated to caring for Hawaii’s kpuna and strengthening the continuum of care across the islands. What began with one facility has grown into a statewide organization serving communities throughout Hawaii, with a strong reputation for compassionate care, operational commitment, and a deep sense of responsibility to the people and families it serves. Its growth has been driven by purpose, not scale alone. Ohana Pacific Health’s expansion has been grounded in a desire to improve care delivery, support vulnerable populations, and create a more integrated, responsive system for post-acute and senior care.
Today, Ohana Pacific Health stands at a pivotal moment in its evolution. Following a period of significant growth through strategic acquisitions, expanded service offerings, and an increasing statewide presence, the organization is entering a new phase focused on integration, operational excellence, and long-term sustainability. While its culture remains deeply mission-driven, entrepreneurial, and grounded in service to Hawaii’s kpuna, Ohana Pacific Health is intentionally evolving to support a more unified and scalable enterprise. As the organization continues to advance a more integrated model of care, it is focused on strengthening operational infrastructure, aligning leadership across the system, standardizing key processes and practices, and investing in the people, capabilities, and systems that will position Ohana Pacific Health for its next chapter of growth, innovation, and lasting impact.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Ohana Pacific Health is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven, and operationally grounded Chief People Officer (CPO) to join its Executive Leadership Team and shape the organization’s enterprise-wide people strategy. This newly elevated role reflects the organization’s commitment to positioning its people as a key driver of mission, culture, operational excellence, and long-term growth. Reporting to the CEO and partnering closely with executive leadership, operations, clinical teams, and the Board, the CPO will lead the evolution of the People function into a proactive, data-informed strategic partner that enables the organization to attract, develop, engage, and retain exceptional talent across a growing, multi-site healthcare system.
This is a transformational opportunity for an executive who excels at building high-performing organizations and creating the infrastructure required for sustainable growth. As Ohana Pacific Health continues to advance an integrated model of post-acute and kpuna care across skilled nursing, home health, home and community-based services, and related offerings, the CPO will establish the systems, practices, and leadership capabilities needed to support a unified enterprise. The role will oversee the full spectrum of human capital strategy, including workforce planning, talent acquisition and retention, leadership development, succession planning, total rewards, employee and labor relations, compliance, HR technology, workforce analytics, organizational design, and culture.
The ideal candidate will be a true enterprise leader who understands that people strategy is central to organizational performance and mission impact. They will bring the ability to translate vision into execution, build trust across a diverse workforce, partner effectively with operational and clinical leaders, and introduce the structure, alignment, and accountability needed to support continued evolution. Success will require exceptional business acumen, change leadership expertise, cultural humility, comfort leveraging data and technology, and a deep appreciation for Hawaii’s communities, values, and workforce.
