Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on Manager of Compensation & HRIS to lead the design, execution, and continuous improvement of our compensation programs and HR systems. This role is critical in shaping our total rewards strategy, ensuring competitive and equitable pay practices, and delivering high-quality HRIS data and reporting.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in base, bonus, and equity compensation, strong analytical capabilities, and HRIS system ownership, with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a fast-paced, public company environment.
Key Responsibilities
Compensation Strategy & Execution
Design and administer base salary structures, pay bands, and job architecture
Lead annual compensation cycles including merit, bonus, and equity/stock programs
Develop and manage short- and long-term incentive plans, including executive compensation
Conduct market benchmarking, salary surveys, and internal equity analysis
Partner with Finance and HR leadership on workforce planning and pay-for-performance strategies
Provide guidance to leadership on compensation decisions, policy interpretation, and job evaluation
Equity & Executive Compensation
Administer stock compensation programs (grants, vesting, reporting)
Partner with external providers (e.g., Equity Edge, My Equity Comp) to manage equity plans
Prepare executive compensation reporting and analysis
Support programs such as NQDC / Executive Savings Plan and 401k Retirement Plan
HRIS & Systems Management
Serve as HRIS owner (ADP Workforce Now) ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and system optimization
Manage system integrations with HRIS (e.g., Concur, Oracle, payroll, GL interfaces) and employment data integrations with mergers and acquisitions.
Oversee system configuration, audits, user access controls, and SOX compliance
Develop and maintain custom reports, dashboards, and analytics for leadership
Ensure accurate employee data, job structures, and compensation data within HR systems
Analytics, Reporting & Compliance
Deliver actionable insights through compensation and HR data analysis
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory requirements (EEO, pay equity, 401k audits, etc.)
Support internal and external audits, including SOX and compensation-related reporting
Maintain documentation and controls to ensure audit readiness
Leadership & Collaboration
Partner cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Payroll, Legal, and executive leadership
Manage relationships with vendors, consultants, and system providers
Drive process improvements and enhance employee experience through effective programs

Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
Required Experience
5+ years of progressive HR experience with direct ownership of compensation and HRIS
Proven experience with:
Merit, bonus, and equity/stock compensation programs
Salary structures and pay band design
Executive compensation and incentive plans
Hands-on experience with ADP Workforce Now and advanced Excel
Strong background in compensation analytics, benchmarking, and reporting
Experience in a public company or large, complex organization
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, Business, or related field (MBA or Master’s preferred)
Certifications such as CCP, SHRM-SCP
Experience with PayScale / PayFactors
Familiarity with SOX compliance and audit processes
