About the Role
As a Customer & Distribution Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the Germany & Austria C&D team in managing Swiss Re Corporate Solutions' distribution channels for customers and brokers. You'll be part of an agile, collaborative, and professional team, contributing directly to improving the quality and efficiency of the sales process across the region. From structuring and controlling sales-related activities to analyzing customer and broker performance using relevant KPIs, your work will have a real and meaningful impact on the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Support distribution channel management for customers and brokers across Germany and Austria, ensuring smooth and effective operations
- Structure and control sales-related activities, driving consistency and quality throughout the sales process
- Analyze customer and broker data based on key performance indicators to generate actionable insights and recommendations
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate and execute business development initiatives
- Maintain and update CRM systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and sales activities
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate performance trends and strategic insights to the team and leadership
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the team
- Support the team in representing Corporate Solutions' full product portfolio, including innovative risk solutions and Risk Data Services, to distribution partners and customers
About the Team
The Corporate Solutions Customer & Distribution (C&D) team leads relationship management and business development for strategic customer and broker partners in Germany and Austria within Swiss Re Corporate Solutions' Market Unit Germany/Austria. The team represents Corporate Solutions' complete portfolio - a wide array of products and cross-class solutions, including innovative risk solutions and Risk Data Services - to distribution partners and customers. The team operates in close alignment with the underwriting approach and is strongly focused on driving sustainable business growth across the region.
About You
You are a motivated, solution-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering excellent client experiences. You bring a proactive mindset, a strong "can-do" attitude, and a genuine interest in the industrial insurance sector. You enjoy working across a broad scope of responsibilities and are committed to continuously improving processes and outcomes.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Insurance knowledge: A background or first experience in the insurance market - whether in distribution management, underwriting, risk management, or insurance marketing
- Language skills: Proficiency in both German and English (written and spoken) is essential for this role
- CRM and digital tools proficiency: Hands-on experience with CRM systems and MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to manage data and support reporting activities
These are additional nice to haves:
- Educational background: A Bachelor's degree, equivalent qualification, or an insurance-specific professional certification (e.g., Kaufmann/-frau für Versicherungen und Finanzanlagen)
- Stakeholder management: Experience working with both internal teams and external partners across different levels of seniority
- Analytical mindset: Ability to interpret data and KPIs to support strategic decision-making
- Growth mindset: Enthusiasm for learning and developing within the insurance industry, with a long-term view of building a career in this space
- Team collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively in agile, cross-functional teams
For Germany, the base salary range for this position is between 53 000 EUR and 88 000 EUR for a full-time role.

- The requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role
- The applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience
In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Furthermore, you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits. Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract.
