- Estate Planning Attorney (6+ years)
Description
Help Families Preserve What Matters Most
The Johnson Firm, P.C. is seeking an experienced Estate Planning Attorney who enjoys helping families protect their assets, preserve their legacies, and confidently plan for the future.
For more than 40 years, our boutique, family-owned law firm has guided Texas families through estate planning, probate, elder law, trust administration, and asset protection. Led by a father-daughter attorney team, our mission is simple:
"Our family helping yours."
We are looking for an attorney who values long-term client relationships and enjoys sophisticated planning—not high-volume document production. You'll work with families ranging from traditional estate plans to high-net-worth clients with business interests, asset protection needs, and complex trust planning. Your practice will include designing customized estate plans, drafting sophisticated trusts and business planning documents, advising clients on wealth preservation and asset protection strategies, handling trust administration and probate matters, and collaborating with a supportive team of attorneys and paralegals.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is licensed in Texas and has at least six years of estate planning experience, including sophisticated trust planning, probate, and trust administration. You are an exceptional communicator who naturally puts clients at ease, enjoys building lasting relationships, and wants to build a long-term career while helping grow the firm. Experience with WealthCounsel, ElderCounsel, and Clio is a plus.
We believe exceptional legal work begins with exceptional relationships. Our firm values collaboration, integrity, and work-life balance. That's why we proudly offer a four-day work week, allowing our attorneys to build rewarding careers while enjoying time with their own families.
Benefits
Four-day work week
Health insurance
401(k)
Paid time off
Continuing education and professional development
Collaborative, family-oriented work environment
Compensation
Base Salary: $110,000–$140,000, commensurate with experience.
In addition to your base salary, you'll participate in a performance-based incentive program rewarding productivity, business development, and outstanding client service. Our philosophy is simple: if you produce, build lasting client relationships, and help grow the practice, your earning potential should reflect your contributions.
Our incentive program includes productivity incentives, origination bonuses, and uncapped performance compensation.
