About the Company

Our client is a well-established and growing financial services firm with a strong presence in Hong Kong. To support ongoing system transformation and operational excellence, they are seeking a Finance Manager - Systems & Process Support to join their Finance team.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will take ownership of finance systems and drive continuous improvement across finance processes. You will act as a key liaison between Finance, IT, Operations, Compliance, and external vendors, ensuring systems are robust, efficient, and compliant with regulatory requirements.

This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy working at the intersection of finance, technology, and process transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Systems Ownership & Support

• Act as system owner and administrator for accounting and finance platforms (e.g. Odoo, TJX, ERP systems)
• Maintain system configurations including:
  • Chart of accounts
  • Accounting rules and posting logic
  • User access controls and segregation of duties
• Provide day-to-day support, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Ensure data integrity and reconciliation between sub-ledgers and general ledger

System Implementation & Enhancement

• Lead end-to-end system implementation or upgrades, including:
  • Requirements gathering
  • Vendor selection
  • UAT, data migration, validation, and post-go-live support
• Work closely with IT and vendors to integrate finance systems with:
  • Trading platforms
  • Settlement systems
  • Banking systems
• Oversee data migration to ensure accuracy and completeness

Process Optimisation & Automation

• Review and enhance finance workflows (AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, fixed assets)
• Identify inefficiencies and control gaps, and propose system-driven solutions
• Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual processes and operational risk
• Support the adoption of AI and digital tools to improve productivity and accuracy

Governance, Training & Documentation

• Develop user guides and deliver training to finance users
• Maintain documentation on system configurations and processes
• Support internal/external audits and regulatory inspections by providing system data and documentation

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related disciplines
• Professional qualifications (CPA, ACCA, CFA) highly preferred
• Minimum 5 years of finance experience, with at least 2 years in finance systems / ERP

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, FlexSystem, Kingdee)
• Experience in system implementation, upgrade, or migration
• Knowledge of data integrity, system controls, and financial reporting processes
• Familiarity with Excel VBA, Python, or automation tools is an advantage

Industry Knowledge

• Experience in securities firms or financial services in Hong Kong preferred
• Understanding of SFC FRR reporting and HK financial reporting standards
• Knowledge of brokerage operations, trading and settlement workflows

Soft Skills

• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities
• Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
