Description

• Responsible for the proper use and function of all departmentally owned instrumentation.
• Trains instrument users.
• Performs routine maintenance, calibration, and validation of instruments. Conducts troubleshooting and repair of failed instruments.
• Purchases and controls inventory of liquified and compressed gases, supplies, and parts.
• Participates in department and committee meetings and strategic planning.
• Assists with data collection and analysis for research.

Requirements

• Ability to manipulate small parts and components.
• Moderate work occasionally working in a difficult position or with physical demands such as continuously lifting or moving materials from 25 to 50 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving materials greater than 50 pounds.
• Work is performed in an environment with exposure to somewhat disagreeable or hazardous conditions.
