Our diverse practice includes estate planning, commercial development, federal and state litigation, and the representation of businesses from mom-and-pop shops to insurance carriers to global entities such as Mettler-Toledo and LEGOLAND®/Merlin Entertainments.
An important cornerstone of our firm’s practice is the representation of municipalities in a broad range of matters, including municipal board representation, service as Justice Court prosecutors, and litigation defense.
We are seeking attorneys with municipal law experience as described below to support our existing and growing client base in this area. In this role, you will be supported by our municipal law team and manage your caseload by attending meetings, preparing resolutions and local laws, providing legal advice on a variety of matters to towns and villages, and performing associated or other related assigned work.

The position is onsite in New Windsor, located in the Lower Hudson Valley. We do offer the flexibility of occasional remote work for work/life balance. Base salary will be determined within the range provided commensurate with experience. Requirements
JD from an accredited Law School
Licensed to practice law in New York
Substantive, recent New York State legal experience representing municipal boards
Related experience representing companies in land use matters is not required but viewed favorably
Superior oral communication and presentation skills
Must be available to attend night meetings throughout Orange County, as well as in surrounding counties such as Dutchess, Putnam, and Ulster
Familiarity with and interest in living in the Lower Hudson Valley to maximize business development and networking
Passion for the practice of law
