We are seeking an experienced and accomplished Power Platform Developer. This is a full-time, virtual role aligned with our Burlington, MA office.
The Power Platform Developer will support development, integration, and troubleshooting of solutions across the Microsoft Power Platform and enterprise data environment.
This role requires strong technical skills in SQL, data integration, and Power BI, along with the ability to work across systems (Deltek, Azure, Data Lake) and support internal users building solutions.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, you will:
- Develop and support solutions using Power BI and other Power Platform tools
- Design and implement data integrations between Deltek ERP and downstream systems
- Support data feeds and reporting requests from internal business users
- Implement and configure vendor APIs to integrate external and internal systems
- Troubleshoot data, reporting, and automation issues across platforms
- Ensure data security, access controls, and governance standards are maintained
- Collaborate with power users ("citizen developers") to enable solutions while enforcing guardrails
- Apply business logic to technical solutions and recommend practical approaches
- Evaluate requests for premium licensing and recommend appropriate alternatives where possible
- Work within standard product capabilities, minimizing custom development where feasible
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills and Requirements:
- Power Platform
- Strong experience with Power BI (required)
- Experience with other tools such as Power Apps and Power Automate (must be specified in candidate submissions)
- SQL / Data
- Strong SQL skills (queries, joins, data modeling)
- Understanding of database structures and data flow
- Experience with ETL processes and data movement
- APIs & Integration
- Experience implementing APIs (not building from scratch)
- Ability to review vendor API documentation and configure integrations
- Data & Systems Understanding
- Understanding of how data flows between applications
- Experience working with ERP or enterprise systems (Deltek experience preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to independently research and resolve technical issues
- Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Understanding of software licensing models (Power Platform licensing a plus)
- Collaborative mindset with ability to support business users while maintaining governance
Preferred Skills:
- Python
- Microsoft Azure (cloud-hosted databases/environment)
- Data Lake architecture and usage
- GitHub or version control integration
- Data security and permissions management
- SMTP / SFTP data transfer methods
The salary for this position in Burlington, MA is $150,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions. Haley & Aldrich reviews salary ranges each quarter to assess competitiveness with the market.
