Position Summary:	The M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing is seeking applicants for the position of Program Coordinator to work on a National Institute of Nursing Research funded research education program grant. The Scholars for Applied Research and Impact (SARI) Program is designed to train nurse and other transdisciplinary scientists in systemic and institutional factors that affect health. This 12-month, cohort-style Program will recruit 30 Scholars (15 per annual cohort) from around the nation who are PhD students through mid-career scientists. The first cohort will run from June 2026 to May 2027, and the second will run from June 2027 to May 2028. The Program Coordinator will oversee the administrative components of Scholar training and career development, facilitate interdisciplinary collaborations within and outside of the Program, and support Scholars in the logistical components of their research products. This individual will provide significant support and resources to trainees and facilitate the integration of Scholars in the scientific community, which will include making resources available through the three SARI-partnering institutions (Villanova University, Howard University, and Johns Hopkins University). They will also work with the Advisory Board to implement the SARI Program and collaborate with the statistician for Program evaluation. Duties and Responsibilities:	Oversee the day-to-day administrative components of Scholar training and career development. Facilitate interdisciplinary collaborations within and outside of the Program (e.g., schedule meetings for Program faculty, develop meeting agendas and minutes in collaboration with the Program Directors). Support Scholars in the logistical components of their research products (e.g., identifying consultants, navigating multiple institutional review boards). Manage content for the Program's Blackboard site and webpage. Manage the Scholar application cycle from receipt of electronic applications to disseminating collated application content to Advisory Board members for final acceptance decisions to tracking progress of accepted applicants. Facilitate Scholar recruitment, including travel to related conferences (all expenses covered) and social media promotion. Responsible for all logistical components of the 1-week, in-person Summer Intensive Institute (e.g., book hotel room block, coordinate shuttle service to/from hotel, Scholar and faculty travel reimbursement, classroom space reservation) and virtual monthly cohort meetings (e.g., scheduling, Zoom links, breakout rooms). Supervise undergraduate and graduate research assistants. Prepare progress and other reports for the grant sponsor. Prepare quarterly reports for the Advisory Board to monitor program implementation, progress, and decision points. Manage and process expenses using Villanova's Concur system. Support curriculum development and iterative refinement to enhance the Scholars' training experience. Support generation of needed documents and forms (e.g., acceptance letters, online surveys). Review budget reports with the Program Directors to monitor progress. Assign Scholars and Mentors unique three-digit numeric ID to anonymize surveys and maintain confidentiality in interviews. Manage REDCap database to track Scholar and Mentor metrics. Assist in analysis and dissemination of program data through peer-reviewed journal articles, scientific abstracts and public scholarship. Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:	Formal Education Bachelor's degree required (or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience in addition to the experience listed below). Minimum Work Experience Minimum 3 years of solid administrative experience with evidence of managing large projects (e.g., multiple research grants, effort that involved cross-institution collaboration). Administrative experience related to training programs. Experience preparing progress reports for the National Institutes of Health. Thorough understanding of research education programs. Strong attention to detail required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate complex requirements into simple and actionable recommendations. Friendly and supportive demeanor, and ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Ability to multitask with excellent organizational skills to work in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in Microsoft Office suite. Familiarity with Blackboard (or other online learning management software). Ability to travel out of town for overnight conferences (advanced notice to be provided, all expenses paid)
Preferred Qualifications:	Master's degree in nursing, public health, business administration or related field with experience in Program Coordination. Minimum 3 years of solid experience in Program Coordination, working with PhD students through mid-career faculty, and/or organizing events in higher education. Administrative experience related to national research education training programs. Knowledge of educational/training needs of PhD students through mid-career faculty. Preferred familiarity with Concur for expense processing. Preferred familiarity with REDCap and Qualtrics.

Salary Posting Information:	This position falls within hourly grade 13 and the range for this position is $24.52-30.67/hr. The final salary will be determined with consideration of several factors including the selected candidate's qualifications, department budget availability, market data, and internal equity.
